What makes the difference

September 28th, 2008

When I started working professionally in the printing industry, I found myself in a different world where you get to notice the prints around you.  Suddenly, you get to mind the prints that as if came from nowhere; prints that you normally pay no attention to.

After a few months in prepress, I acquired this odd mannerism where I try to smell and stare at the prints at a very close distance.  It’s quite odd because I do it even in public places.  There was this one time when I received a menu from a waiter and instead of choosing my dish, I plunged myself into the prints and murmured by myself.  You could just imagine the face of the waiter.

March 8th, 2008
